What is StarMoon-AU?
StarMoon is a roleplaying group based on a crossover of ideas - the basic premise behind Sailor Moon in the world of Star Wars. We create characters patterned after those in Sailor Moon, and place them in the far away galaxies of Star Wars.
StarMoon is not much of a 'traditional' rpg. We don't operate via live chats, message boards, or any sort of round robin. We play our characters through the stories and poems we write about them. We communicate with each other, talk about group issues, discuss our characters, and just chat about anime/movies/life in general via our mailing list. What is the 'original StarMoon'?
The original StarMoon group was begun in the summer of 1999. After awhile, we got inundated with members, and it became very hard to keep track of the over 70 characters of the group. Then, in April of 2003, Bunny (Sailor Bellassa) and Coru (Sailor Yavin/Stroiketcy) thought up a wonderful solution to the problems we had in StarMoon: why not start all over? StarMoon-AU was born. Who's behind this?
A group of women, scattered all over the world, coming from broad backgrounds, a wide age range, and with many different interests. We even had a few good men on our original StarMoon list! :) But as different as we all are, we all share at least two things in common - we're fans of both Sailor Moon and Star Wars! As of right now StarMoon-AU is very small - only thirteen members at the moment this FAQ is being written! We are a tight-knit group of friends and characters both - most of us have known each other since the first days of the original StarMoon in 1999. Where does the story of StarMoon-AU take place?
Unlike the original StarMoon group, we are firmly grounded in the Star Wars universe. Each of our characters is the Sailor Senshi of a Star Wars planet or cosmological phenomenon, and all of our stories take place on these planets (and the space between them!) that George Lucas has created for us. Earth does not exist in StarMoon-AU, and hence none of our senshi will ever be from/have to visit our good old home planet. There are many different Sailor Moon rpgs out there - what makes StarMoon different is our locale. Our characters live, love, work and play in the Star Wars universe, complete with starships, interstellar travel, the Force, Jedi, holovids, and droids. When does the story of StarMoon-AU take place?
There is no real set time as to when StarMoon-AU takes place; but all that matters is that it is VERY far in the future. And when we say VERY far, we mean several millennia after Return Of The Jedi and all of the post-movie Star Wars novels. All the canon plotlines of George Lucas' Star Wars universe have already elapsed, but the locale remain (well, except Alderaan). We did this to avoid any confrontations with Star Wars canon - this way, we will never run into any Skywalkers or Solos, and can construct our own universal plotlines instead of having to work around those dealt to us by Star Wars. Will any canon Star Wars/Sailor Moon canon characters show up?
No. There will be no Usagi, Chibi-Usa, Han Solo, or Luke Skywalker, and no Yukiko, Priire, Annika, or Ippin to boot. We purposely set StarMoon-AU far in the future to avoid this. Our goal is to have our characters and everyone around them 100% original; so even though we are in the Star Wars universe playing with a Sailor Moon theme, characters directly from either inspiration will NEVER be acceptable. Characters from the original StarMoon might be mentioned in passing, but will never be active or influential characters here in StarMoon-AU. There will also, obviously, never be crossovers from other anime/movies/books/whatever, except in the form of inspiration. Who drew the pictures of your characters?

All members must be at least eighteen years of age. All members are expected to develop their characters and remain active, both in real life and our little StarMoon-AU world. Star Wars and previously established StarMoon-AU canon must be observed.
Obviously, everyone is expected to play nice. Flames or any other insulting or obscene behavior, whether on-list or off, will NOT be tolerated. This goes for the guestbook too. Our mods can be very nasty if you cross them! So don't do it. How do I get in touch with you?
