Naoya lived a peaceful, spoiled childhood on Naboo. From a very young age he showed signs of incredible intelligence, especially in the areas of math, science, and computing. When he graduated primary schooling on Naboo, his parents sent him to Coruscant to attend the prestigious Mahori Academy - a highly competitive school for the advancement of math, science, and the study of the Force. It was here that Naoya's life changed forever. For the first time he experienced the reality of life and living in a world with other people. At the Academy Naoya got his first taste of what it was to truly be alive - everything from love and friendship to betrayal, manipulation, and loss. His life quickly turned chaotic and his relationships bittersweet. His experiences at the Academy left him regretful and angry, an anger that he never truly learned how to let go of.
